This is a 2nd generation two tone tungsten ring with 100% scratch proof lifetime warranty. The center black band is not done by a plating, which will get scratched easily exposing the silver colored tungsten carbide underneath. The black band is black all the way through and it is as scratch resistant as tungsten carbide itself. You can expect this ring to look the same 50 years from the daily you put it on your finger. The outside of the ring is flat and completely high polished.
